3D PHOTOGRAPH

Photo was made into a 3D model ready to be digitally fabricated.
ORCHID BOX

This box shows the varying scale of an orchid flower. The inside has a kaleidoscope pattern of orchids, while the sides have orchid flowers that are stacked. The top cover has a big orchid on top of a magnified version of the orchid texture which show magnified details of the flower.
CNC

A bigger version of the box was made by modifying the initial STL model for the 3D print. The STL model for the box was edited into six separate sections (the four sides, the top, and the bottom) and CNCed from one larger slab of wood. The wood that was CNCed were measured, cut, sanded, stapled, glued, and the holes were filled in. For the finish, the assembled box was spray painted with white and clear varnish. The top was cut from clear acrylic.
ROSES

Five unique 3D rose designs were created. There is a diamond in the center of each rose. From those designs, a total of 100 3D roses were printed. Afterwards, the roses were assembled into lights. Leaves and clasps were also printed to complement the roses.
Arduino Uno was programmed to alternate the RGB and red LED lights for the rose light covers.
